Nine Bentleys gathered at Torre Abbey, Torquay for a tour of the Abbey, now run by Torbay Council, and lunch. John Bishop brought his newly-acquired Derby Brougham de Ville, of which more below.

Brougham de Ville

Making its first appearance at a Western Region event is this 1938 4¼ "Barouche de Ville" by James Young. Needless to say, it generated much interest, being one of possibly only two Bentleys made with this body. Some discussion ensued concerning fine distinctions as between Brougham, Barouche and Sedanca coupe, but no definitive conclusions were reached.
